The Nineteenth
Social golf scoring and competitions

A mobile app that transforms golf scoring into a social experience, connecting players on and off the course with real-time leaderboards and competition features.
The Challenge
Golf scoring apps existed, but they felt isolated. Players tracked scores alone, only sharing results after the round. The Nineteenth needed an app that captured the social nature of golf—the banter, the friendly competition, the shared moments that make the game special.

Technical Implementation
Built with React Native for cross-platform deployment, the app uses WebSocket connections for real-time score updates. Offline-first architecture ensures reliability on courses with poor signal, syncing data seamlessly when connectivity returns. We implemented GPS course mapping with sub-meter accuracy for automatic hole detection.
The Results
5-star rating from first users, transforming how playing groups engage with the game.
The Nineteenth recently launched on both iOS and Android, earning a 5-star rating from its first users. The social features are already transforming how playing groups engage with the game, creating friendly competition that extends beyond the course. With early adoption underway, the app is positioned to grow into golf communities and club competitions.
